Projects

We will be bringing music projects to students to help them explore the interesting and exciting world of classical music.  You can also find details of concerts and other activities on this page.

NEW! For those students who are at grade 3 theory level or above, I highly recommend www.musicards.net for online theory of music flashcards for learning and testing your knowledge of (a) intervals, (b) key signatures, (c) chords etc.  This is really fun and highly educational.  Give it a go!

  •  Click on 'COMPOSERS'  where we shall be looking at a new composer each month and sampling their music.  This month's composer is Ludwig van Beethoven, featuring some of his piano concertos and symphonies.
  • In the 'LET'S LISTEN' section you can hear samples of various instruments of the orchestra - including a clarinet made from a carrot!!
  • In addition, click on 'INSTRUMENTS' where we will can learn about specific instruments of the orchestra; what they look like, and how they sound.
  • See 'FUN & GAMES' to visit the New York Philharmonic - where you can compose your own music and make your own instruments and meet the musicians.
