Terms & Fees

  1. Private lessons run for 45 minutes or 60 minutes or more, by prior arrangement, and are charged at £30 per hour
  2. Personalised folders for both privately tutored students and Saturday Music Club members are provided. A one-off fee of £10 per child per folder will be added to the first term's fee note. The personalised folder is constantly replenished and updated throughout the academic year at no additional cost.
  3. Music workshops from £25 per child (to include all materials and refreshments)
  4. Singing workshops £25 per child (to include all materials and refreshments)
  5. Saturday Music Club (4 month membership to include personalised folders, all materials and refreshments) £100
  6. Private tuition and home tutoring during term time is invoiced and payable termly in advance
  7. Additional term tuition is payable by arrangement
  8. Private tuition during term time and holiday periods is invoiced and payable in advance
  9. If, for any reason, Claire is unable to teach a lesson, an alternative date will be offered, or a full refund or credit note will be given
  10. Because space has been allocated, if a pupil is unable to make a lesson during term time, fees remain payable
  11. In the event of an ABRSM exam date clashing with a lesson slot, all efforts will be made to find an alternative lesson slot for that week or thereabouts.  However, this may not be possible and no refund will be payable
  12. In the event of bad weather preventing a student to attend his/her lesson Claire will give a lesson over the phone and fees remain payable
  13. One term's notice is required to cease lessons 
  14. Any damage or loss  caused by a pupil whilst on the premises will be charged to the parent/s or guardian/s
  15. Music that Claire orders on behalf of students will attract a 10% charge
  16. Payment for exam entry fees made by Claire on behalf of students are payable immediately by the parent/guardian/pupil
  17. Claire Meyer is an Associate Member of EPTA (European Piano Teachers' Association) and is fully covered through her membership for limited liabilty insurance in respect of teaching students from her home.
